Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to SpecKlub Arena. Emil Grigore was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Agostino Mumment and Henk Johan Langers. SpecKlub had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Wasik - Nazarko, Uchmanowicz, Brózda, Macko - Grządziela, Tatarczyk, Haraf, Dolik - Adamczuk, Puchała.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sośnica. Starters: Berny - Olejnik, Bakuba, Bańdura, Sliwiński - Borowski, Dziel, Murszewski, Jarmuła - Stryszowski, Kondziela.

The guests almost went up by a goal after 2 minutes when Z. Borowski came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. 27 minutes into the match, Sośnica nearly took the lead, as Ł. Murszewski broke through on the right. Z. Wasik made the save, however. After 33 minutes, Sośnica's F. Kondziela made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Sośnica enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

D. Haraf finished off the counterattack of SpecKlub from the left rather easily, making the score 1 - 1. SpecKlub's K. Tatarczyk left the field after 65 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was O. Śniadecki. Some things can only be learned through experience, and D. Haraf should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Sośnica a goal with 66 minutes of the match played. Ł. Murszewski had a good opportunity to give Sośnica the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to D. Haraf, but the SpecKlub player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sośnica, with 55 percent of the ball.

SpecKlub's best player was K. Adamczuk. Z. Wasik on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Sośnica player was without a doubt Ł. Murszewski. However, E. Berny made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
