Due to an all-day shower, 12000 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Green Street Arena. Sune Weise was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Štefan Čuchran and Giovanni Portner. Obolon had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Danulko_Team mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Danulko_Team had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 2 minutes in when R. Zotov came up alone against I. Shkred who managed a block. Obolon's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 3 minutes gone, but S. Zemtsov's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. T. Varshavskiy, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. After 9 minutes, Danulko_Team's L. Tsibulko made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. The cannonball from 35 metres by L. Kourov of Danulko_Team was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. After 23 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for V. Akromas who increased Danulko_Team's lead to 0 - 2. The home crowd was not impressed when R. Filadelfin came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 26 minutes. Danulko_Team were now up 0 - 3. The referee showed Obolon's K. Ostrozkyj the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. There was concern in the stands when, at the 33 minute mark, Obolon's L. Vorona hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Danulko_Team, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

I. Shkred got a fingertip on E. Babiy's shot from the left 52 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. I. Stegachev received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 60 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Danulko_Team fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Confident in their lead, Danulko_Team's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. A weary-looking K. Gunin struggled to keep pace with the advancing attack, but he just didn't have the energy and let Danulko_Team's I. Stegachev through to score, making it 0 - 5. A. Avdeenko of Danulko_Team took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 85 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. A drive down the left side allowed R. Zotov to get in close and score another goal for Danulko_Team after 86 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 7. A. Avdeenko was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. After 88 minutes, Danulko_Team's E. Babiy burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Danulko_Team, with 78 percent of the ball.

Obolon's best player was L. Vorona. On the other hand, S. Zemtsov's play was disheartening. The most dominating Danulko_Team player was without a doubt R. Filadelfin. A. Avdeenko turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
