55600 spectators arrived at Auroville FC Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Evertonia saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The terraces were silenced after 25 minutes when Evertonia's C. Mathieux put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. After 27 minutes of play, C. Barba equalised for Auroville after an elegant attack from the right. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Auroville's opponents know to be wary of V. Toprak's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 59 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! After 65 minutes, the Auroville coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving M. Lövström off the field. T. Gottström took his place. 72 minutes into the game, P. Ericsson had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Auroville had a good opportunity to take the lead as P. Gunnarsson came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of B. Vinbom. 74 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but C. Mathieux, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. 78 minutes into the game, Auroville wanted to bring some new energy to their game. P. Gunnarsson gave T. Fogellund a quick hug as he left the field. They were singing the praises of C. Barba 83 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Auroville. Auroville enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

C. Racalbuto performed admirably for Auroville. U. Staal was a disappointment, however. Evertonia's best player was M. Öhrquist. However, A. Asta made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
