The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 35 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but L. Ivarsson got the best of it, blocking the shot from E. Nisii. M. Larsson of Carlstad was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Anderstorp's K. Stoltman placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but M. Meilick couldn't finish. With 43 minutes played, Carlstad's L. Mellblom almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Carlstad, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Carlstad's M. Larsson swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. E. Hägger could have increased the lead after 63 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 75 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when M. Meilick tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. Carlstad enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
