Brage mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Stålpingvinerna's E. Clausen managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 2 minutes. 0 - 1. Some fine movement on the left led to a Stålpingvinerna goal after 19 minutes, making it 0 - 2. V. Klinskiy was noted down as the scorer. The home crowd was not impressed when B. Stichel came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 30 minutes. Stålpingvinerna were now up 0 - 3. Brage players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when L. Stentorp scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 3. With the scoreboard showing that 39 minutes had been played, Stålpingvinerna nearly put themselves up another goal after D. Hammer came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Stålpingvinerna's L. Barrow made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 82 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After 83 minutes, R. Pechar sprinted between the opposing defenders and squared the ball, but the keeper deflected V. Klinskiy's shot. A. Jörg came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over P. Kärrfeldt but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Brage's top performer was clearly L. Stentorp. P. Kärrfeldt turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Stålpingvinerna player was I. Antonakos. R. Pechar on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 3.
