A scorching day at Lavafältens IP, where 20146 spectators were in place for today's match. Giuseppe Loria was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Heinz Mischler and Engelbert Planell. Herkules decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Stupický - Popescu, Telepi, Beynaerts - Sebastião, Flinkby, Singh, Courcoux, Matsson - Dárday, Jakubik.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Kylören. I. Kjellwald was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Kylören's defence 8 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 0 - 1. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Herkules, but D. Singh's shot went over the bar. Kylören were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 17 minutes, M. Isturizaga swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 0 - 2. Kylören's F. Emminger got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Herkules, as A. Sebastião left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. N. Tyas took his place on the field. The home crowd were delighted when L. Dárday scored with a header after an attack from the right, making the score 1 - 2. But did he use his hand? That'll be one for the pundits to talk about after the game, that's for sure! Herkules's opponents know to be wary of L. Dárday's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 36 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! It was almost a goal for Kylören following M. Isturizaga's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Herkules enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

Herkules were close to equalising with a spectacular free kick by M. Flinkby after 63 minutes, but E. Rolandsson made a great save, tipping it to a corner. Herkules tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. Kylören caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 65 minutes into the match. A. Bozhilov was able to finish off the move - 1 - 3. Herkules's Z. Telepi was shown a yellow card after 66 minutes for slicing down an opponent. G. Falkmar was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Kylören's G. Iskvist had to come off the bench. After 82 minutes Kylören tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, I. Kjellwald's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Herkules, with 72 percent of the ball.

Most important Herkules player was L. Dárday. N. Tyas on the other hand, had a terrible day. Kylören's best player was I. Kjellwald. However, G. Iskvist made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
