BKC 2 - 0 Thellman (388132399)

Due to an all-day shower, 24669 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Carlsberg Stadium. Roland Schilbach was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Beat Neiswanger and Udo Conradt. BKC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Pellicanò - Sjöstedt, Spik, Ondrejcsik - Korhonen, Eedema, Winders, Nizzoli, Chiarelotto - Discepolo, Persson.

Thellman had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Lokki - Silverstedt, Blagdan, Alexandersson - Josefsson, Hitz, Falkblad, Almsjö, Szolár - Godstrand, Dadashi.

Today, BKC's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Thellman mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. M. Falkblad slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. BKC took the lead 28 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as J. Persson elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of BKC to 2 - 0 as S. Discepolo finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. E. Eedema didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. After 38 minutes BKC's R. Winders limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. A. Dadashi could've grabbed a goal for Thellman 39 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. BKC had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

H. Hitz behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 55 minutes as he gave the ball away to E. Eedema. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Attacking on the wings was the choice for BKC, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. A great save by keeper J. Lokki after 56 minutes kept the visitors in the game after J. Persson struck from the left with a real cannonball. 73 minutes in, Thellman's Z. Almsjö received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. S. Discepolo of BKC had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. A. Ohlholt came in to finish the match. Thellman players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. BKC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

BKC's best player was A. Ohlholt. However, L. Ondrejcsik made a disastrous appearance. Most important Thellman player was M. Falkblad. J. Lokki was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
