Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 19917 at Koarv-Vallen today. Janez Povh was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bruno Nsereko and Goran Bursać. Koarv started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Pihlbo - Begly, Hyin, Roed - Kodula, Lindhlius, Anziani, Karlsson, Rohaut - Godborg, Olensjö.

City decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Bagulho - Gorremans, Fernández, Vasić - Stoilov, Bergquist, Jēgers, Puig-Domènech, Meixoeiro - Sveholm, Grajko.

Koarv mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. A. Stoilov of City received a yellow card after 22 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 25 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but V. Meixoeiro, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. The referee showed Koarv's A. Godborg the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A. Stoilov was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so City's T. Schleipfer had to come off the bench. Given a free kick close to the byline, City tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let W. Gorremans slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 1, 30 minutes into the game. After 31 minutes Koarv's H. Kodula limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. F. Sveholm received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 37 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The City fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The visitors' B. Fernández took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 38 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for City. Confident in their lead, City's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by City, with 66 percent of the ball.

F. Sveholm came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over A. Pihlbo but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. S. Grajko increased City's lead to 0 - 4 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. With 72 minutes gone, City had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, V. Bergquist did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. T. Schleipfer increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. The coach of City was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 74 minutes, S. Rodger came on for R. Jēgers. The City players could smell victory in the air. F. Sveholm wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for F. Moura Alves after 81 minutes. Koarv's R. Lindhlius got himself booked for a foul. After 85 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for S. Grajko who increased City's lead to 0 - 6. City had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

Koarv's top performer was clearly V. Anziani. A. Pihlbo on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important City player was S. Grajko. T. Schleipfer was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
