Dark skies made the crowd of 12050 at SollentunaVallen a little nervous, but the rain held off. Leo Juřena was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Duncan Meyers and Alberto Vailati. Lillstrumpa took the lead after 2 minutes making the score 0 - 1. T. Filli placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. A. Homme received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 4 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Lillstrumpa fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The corner kick from V. Kvarnlius was powerfully met by the head of M. Ðorđević to make the score 0 - 3. Some fine movement on the left led to a Lillstrumpa goal after 35 minutes, making it 0 - 4. A. Akaichi was noted down as the scorer. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Lillstrumpa lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. J. Honkonen was called on to replace Lillstrumpa's A. Akaichi after 38 minutes following a nasty collision. After 39 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave P. Nilsson a chance to increase the lead for Lillstrumpa, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. Halftime score was 0 - 5. Lillstrumpa had most of the ball, with 77 percent of possession.

After 62 minutes, Lillstrumpa's P. Nilsson burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. With 64 minutes played, J. Kullenskog of Kickers fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. There was concern in the stands when, at the 69 minute mark, Lillstrumpa's V. Kvarnlius hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. O. Mach could have put his team up another goal 85 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The home crowd was not impressed when I. Kolk came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 86 minutes. Lillstrumpa were now up 0 - 7. After 87 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed A. Homme to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8. Lillstrumpa enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

F. Lewstål performed admirably for Kickers. J. Lahdelma turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Lillstrumpa player was A. Homme. I. Mateyko was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
