The crowd roared its approval when R. Bächler somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Stockport's E. Caspersen 30 minutes into the game. M. Lahdenmäki was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Stockport's G. Brugulat managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 2 - 1 It was obvious that team Almighty had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. D. Roitinger had a fantastic opportunity to put Almighty up another goal 35 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
