33464 fans braved the pouring rain at
Vedbacken.
Ralf Nugis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sami Sadeniemi and
Pieter Kamperman.
Kurravaara had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Olsson - Mrzygłód, Gullmar, Tutunaru - Olsson, Maoto, Fredriksson, Savonjousi - Danielsson, Lyhmar, Andersson.
Ingelshytte decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
They fielded: Eriksson - Danielsson, Larsson, Hagelstedt, Davidsson, Danielsson - Karlsson, Persson, Salosmaa - Pettersson, Bill.
Kurravaara mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Ingelshytte clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
Kurravaara had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
They were singing the praises of
M. Maoto 15 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Kurravaara.
16 minutes in, Kurravaara's
P. Mrzygłód received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Kurravaara solidified their lead at the 20 minute mark, as
T. Savonjousi dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0.
21 minutes into the game, Ingelshytte had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
solid.
T. Savonjousi was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on!
N. Danielsson had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today.
With the clock showing 39 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Ingelshytte resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
U. Hagelstedt in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
Kurravaara's
I. Tutunaru was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 42 minutes.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Kurravaara, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.
The Ingelshytte players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
D. Gullmar spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Kurravaara coach let
P. Söderby replace
T. Savonjousi after 70 minutes.
It was obvious that team Kurravaara had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
Cheers filled the stadium as
A. Fredriksson broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Kurravaara.
Kurravaara's
A. Andersson refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 78 minutes.
Kurravaara were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
84 minutes into the game,
P. Davidsson finished off a Ingelshytte left wing counterattack, making the score 3 - 1.
Kurravaara claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.
The most dominating Kurravaara player was without a doubt
P. Söderby.
D. Gullmar was a disappointment, however.
Ingelshytte's best player was
A. Pettersson.
P. Davidsson turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 1.
