Arwn 0 - 4 Anthony (388206828)

The 7910 spectators at Åkern IP were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Andrea Aloisi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kasper Eskildsen and Egon Hofmeyer. Arwn started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Hallbrant - Molaoa, Colborg, Gullborg - Nilsson, Nessner, Sunesson, van Kempen, Tullér - Cogliati, Forslund.

Anthony decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Pantić - Balašević, Albalá, Škoda, Morgansson - Skogstedt, Gil, Rosypal, Isaias - Nienberge, Paranaense.

Anthony saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 2 minutes into the match left Anthony's S. Morgansson completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 37 minutes, Anthony were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. P. Gil did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. R. Nienberge could have put his team up another goal 39 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The visitors' Z. Rosypal took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 39 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Anthony. A spectacular volley from G. Balašević almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and Y. Isaias could only knock the loose ball wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Anthony, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

The sunny day didn't make things easy for N. Cogliati who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Some fine movement on the left led to a Anthony goal after 70 minutes, making it 0 - 3. G. Balašević was noted down as the scorer. S. Morgansson of Anthony took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 73 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Anthony lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The intense heat forced O. Tullér into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, R. Paranaense got himself booked. The manager of Anthony was not happy. 82 minutes into the match, R. Nienberge came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Arwn had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 83 minutes, but B. Nessner's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. Anthony enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

Arwn's top performer was clearly R. Forslund. K. van Kempen turned in a dismal performance, however. R. Nienberge performed admirably for Anthony. J. Albalá was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
