Boracay 6 - 0 Nybergs (388206840)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Nigi Nigi Arena saw a crowd turnout of 11389. Benny Brøndum was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Joes Have and Sjur Skjelstad. Boracay started off with a 5-4-1 lineup. The following players took the field: Seriem - Linsjö, Hasseldahl, Olsson, Persson, Uddmo - Åhby, Holm, Håkansson, Matsson - Stensson.

Nybergs decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Lineup: Holerberg - Johansson, Tryggvesson, Boklund, Fredriksson - Gudaniec, Landmar, Ghavidel, Dehlwald - Österborn, Åkesson.

For their match strategy, Boracay had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Boracay took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 19 minutes into the match. D. Olsson scored from the penalty spot. Nybergs's A. Ghavidel had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 22 minutes having been played. M. Hansson was the replacement. Boracay managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when M. Matsson cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Boracay to 3 - 0 as M. Matsson finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Boracay lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Against a lesser team, Boracay could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 42 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Boracay claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

Boracay increased the lead as J. Uddmo struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Boracay's D. Olsson struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 5 - 0 after 72 minutes. Boracay's J. Persson got himself booked for a foul. A late sliding challenge from J. Persson was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Boracay left a man down. Boracay's D. Olsson increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 82 minutes. That made three goals for D. Olsson and he was marked down for the hat trick. Boracay enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

The most dominating Boracay player was without a doubt T. Stensson. D. Olsson was a disappointment, however. Most important Nybergs player was M. Hansson. However, C. Tryggvesson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 0.
