A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 11895 to Granvalla. Bruno Liaci was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roy Moland and Seran Boetes. HSB decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Lineup: Becken - Adelgren, Traner, Björklius, Hultquist - Sörensson, Rolandsson, Rosstrand, Falbom - Ingesson, Stigflod.

Skinn started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Kyhlskär - Tjäderbom, Lagerbo, Martinsson, Gyllenskog - Nilsson, Forsbeck, Yngvesson, Becking - Pettersson, Simonsson.

With 2 minutes gone, HSB had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, J. Hultquist did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. At 4 minutes played, M. Rolandsson came in from the right with the intention of giving HSB the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. After 10 minutes of play, M. Stigflod gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. M. Stigflod could have increased the lead after 34 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Skinn's counterattacks created a good chance for R. Becking on the right after 35 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. A well placed corner kick from C. Tjäderbom was followed by F. Yngvesson's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Skinn, the score now 1 - 1. The referee showed Skinn's F. Simonsson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. HSB took the lead 41 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by L. Adelgren that made the score 2 - 1. Skinn's C. Tjäderbom was shown a yellow card after 42 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. HSB enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

HSB's J. Hultquist increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 55 minutes. Skinn will have to do without O. Martinsson for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 61 minute mark. He was substituted by K. Hultstad. C. Tjäderbom was the new captain of Skinn - handed the armband by the departing player. P. Falbom of HSB was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. L. Adelgren increased the lead for HSB to 4 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 77 minutes in, Skinn's H. Lagerbo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. In a fantastic display of determination, HSB's M. Rolandsson forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. HSB solidified their lead at the 79 minute mark, as E. Ingesson dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 1. After this, you could see that the players of HSB were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The home team's fans were upset when, after 81 minutes, the visiting C. Tjäderbom broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 5 - 2 was the score. HSB had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

HSB's best player was S. Rosstrand. J. Hultquist was a disappointment, however. Most important Skinn player was R. Becking. On the other hand, M. Kyhlskär's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 2.
