A scorching day at
theatre of screams, where 64594 spectators were in place for today's match.
Miguel de Almeida was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Remi Bolwerk and
Eli Goldin.
All of
Central was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FESKYS.

Shinsengumi started off with a 4-3-3 lineup.

FESKYS displayed their ability to play creatively.
Shinsengumi mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.

S. Clauss was powerfully met by the head of
T. Call to make the score 1 - 0.
N. Stern of FESKYS was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
FESKYS increased the lead as
D. Tendeng struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
T. Call could have increased the lead after 28 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
With 40 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Shinsengumi resulted in a counterattack that set
J. Bervoets free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
It was 2 - 0 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to FESKYS, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.
FESKYS solidified their lead at the 62 minute mark, as
T. Call dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0.
The heat made it a terrible day for
P. Houmann Jensen, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
The FESKYS players could smell victory in the air.
T. Call wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
R. Nyaga after 71 minutes.
D. Tendeng left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 71 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
S. Kirui was the replacement.
With 77 minutes played,
P. Houmann Jensen of FESKYS fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
The game was close to savage at times, and FESKYS's
N. Stern received a second yellow card after 81 minutes; his ticket out of the game.
Shinsengumi's
V. Kalliosaari was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
J. Saive increased the lead for FESKYS to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
FESKYS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.
FESKYS's best player was
S. Clauss.
S. Kirui turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Shinsengumi player was
S. Bokelaar.
A. Tudo on the other hand, had a terrible day.
