Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 28274 to Hybrid Arena. Isnan Name was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Emiliano Calligaro and Manuel Neuhauser. Hybrid started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Starters: Filipov - Erceg, Bürgler, Pogliaghi, Krebold - Orlandea, Kalniņš, Pilogallo, Rudak, Bociek - Cadiou.

RFC.ARYOSE had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Kader Refai - Lambrix, Phlypo, Meirsman - Czwórnóg, Eidbacher, Barrera, Grindle, Poch - Pajarinen, Tavadze.

Hybrid were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for RFC.ARYOSE. Hybrid's A. Cadiou left the field after 23 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was A. Rubio. Hybrid had a chance to take the lead after V. Pilogallo's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 26 minutes. The counterattacks of RFC.ARYOSE were deadly and 27 minutes into the game, D. Eidbacher received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 0 - 1. Against a lesser team, Hybrid could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 35 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. D. Krebold charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Hybrid, but the shot went well wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, J. Poch finished off a RFC.ARYOSE left wing counterattack, making the score 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of RFC.ARYOSE lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Hybrid, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

After 58 minutes, RFC.ARYOSE were awarded a free kick as their counter attack broke down. The set piece was lifted over the top, intended to open up the defence. However, the target man seemed to be taken by surprise, and could not reach the ball before it crossed the line for a goal kick. Speedy J. Poch tried one of his patented rushes 59 minutes into the game, but V. Erceg was just as fast and averted the attack. After 62 minutes, Hybrid's D. Krebold fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! After 62 minutes of game time, N. Tavadze had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but O. Filipov was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Hybrid had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

A. Pogliaghi performed admirably for Hybrid. V. Pilogallo turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important RFC.ARYOSE player was J. Lambrix. J. Poch on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
