Back-on-Track 4 - 0 HCC
(388503353)

22-07-2012 13.00
Due to an all-day shower, 31853 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
The Railroads.
Lennart Stigquist was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Arnaud Ferrand and
Bastien André.
Back-on-Track tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Barbălată - Vanham, De Maeyer, Oliva - Dethier, Juncosa, Polder, Forsyth, Browaeys - Gourvil, Buggenhout.
HCC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Lineup: Vinois - Jaeckens, Collantes, Inglot - Smits, Jenot, Vervenne, François, Agtergaelsmeer - Villa, Spaccamonti.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for HCC.
A. François was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions.
Back-on-Track had to make a substitution after 29 minutes.
O. Juncosa limped off the field and was replaced by
M. Katz.
After 30 minutes,
B. De Maeyer came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Back-on-Track the lead.
Back-on-Track increased the lead as
P. Oliva struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
J. Villa spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Back-on-Track enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
With 63 minutes played,
R. Inglot of HCC fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Back-on-Track's
J. Vanham saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 74 minutes.
After 79 minutes,
T. Gourvil put Back-on-Track ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
By now, the players in Back-on-Track felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Back-on-Track's
T. Buggenhout increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Back-on-Track, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
M. Katz performed admirably for Back-on-Track.
A. Dethier turned in a dismal performance, however.
HCC's top performer was clearly
C. Spaccamonti.
M. Vinois on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 0.
