Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and AC spikky's Arena saw a crowd turnout of 21564. The wings were the focus of most of titi's attacks today. R. Gilain was very close to giving spikkys the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 11 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar. titi's H. Horner gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 13 minutes with a superb strike from the right. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 15 minutes gave spikkys a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and R. Gilain stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 After 24 minutes, following yet another great corner, D. Antipa's flick on at the near post reached H. Horner, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. It was obvious that titi had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 33 minutes, titi put themselves up 1 - 2, as H. Cornelis finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to spikkys, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

With 48 minutes played, after a good run down the left, F. Vandenberghe went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. spikkys's C. Zoerner was shown a yellow card after 74 minutes for slicing down an opponent. J. Lundby of titi had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. E. Cabrero came in to finish the match. After 81 minutes of play, J. Martens equalised for spikkys after an elegant attack from the right. After a fine move down the middle J. Monteyne nearly gave the home side a goal after 83 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 88 minutes, spikkys did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, J. Monteyne was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 3 - 2. spikkys claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Most important spikkys player was F. Vandenberghe. J. Monteyne was a disappointment, however. The most dominating titi player was without a doubt K. Grivas. B. Oosters on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 2.
