Blondjes increased their lead after 66 minutes when M. Džurina broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 72 minutes, a deliberate handball from Blondjes's M. Džurina was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. With 86 minutes played, A. Hereza of Blondjes fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

Standard's best player was É. Grimaud. T. Lambert was a disappointment, however. Most important Blondjes player was A. Hereza. On the other hand, F. Friz's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 2.
