Dark skies made the crowd of 24697 at The Strikers Dome a little nervous, but the rain held off. Luca Muma was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mauro Solano and Antti Sidorov. The wings were the focus of most of jorna's attacks today. Strikers took the lead after 14 minutes as a result of F. Rubio Paz's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. T. Drakmar almost put Strikers ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. 29 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as S. Cerbaia broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Strikers. After this, you could see that the players of Strikers were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The score became 3 - 0 at 35 minutes into the game, when Strikers were given a penalty which T. Drakmar blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Strikers had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their M. Guénard reduced the lead to make it 3 - 1 after 47 minutes, following a pass from the right. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Strikers's F. Avellí increasing the lead to 4 - 1. The cannonball from 35 metres by S. Codina of Strikers was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. Strikers's F. Rubio Paz increased the lead to 5 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 63 minutes. Strikers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

L. Lintern performed admirably for Strikers. F. Avellí on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important jorna player was M. Guénard. On the other hand, T. Villate's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 1.
