(388544969)

22-07-2012 13.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 26607 to
KSVO Oostkamp Temple.
Francesco Debenedetti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Adalbert Gotter and
Bernardo Romaní.
All of
West-Vlaanderen was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
Oostkamp tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Lassas - Roels, Smeros, Kapitanski - D'hulst, Giossi, Wittens, Arnaud, Lelarge - Weenen, Fédèle.
esdoorn had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Da Concesio - Voutsinas, Bonmezzadri, Marconatto - Goersch, Hellemans, Gervasi, Fomenko, Busquet - Stuivenberg, Chiabrera.
esdoorn mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
A questionable penalty 31 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 1 - 0. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as
A. Kapitanski knocked the ball home.
The score became 2 - 0 at 34 minutes into the game, when Oostkamp were given a penalty which
A. Kapitanski blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
Oostkamp increased the lead as
R. Lelarge struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
Oostkamp's
D. Fédèle refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 37 minutes.
3 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Oostkamp, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Oostkamp managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when
S. Weenen cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
The players of Oostkamp now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
A. Kapitanski got himself booked. The manager of Oostkamp was not happy.
Coming from the right,
F. Giossi almost managed to score another goal for Oostkamp, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
The referee showed esdoorn's
C. Busquet the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Oostkamp to 5 - 0 as
D. Fédèle finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
esdoorn players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
A bit later, esdoorn's
B. Chiabrera easily reduced the lead to 5 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence.
Against a lesser team, Oostkamp could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 86 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
Oostkamp enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
Most important Oostkamp player was
J. Wittens.
M. Roels was a disappointment, however.
esdoorn's top performer was clearly
F. Stuivenberg.
V. Voutsinas on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 5 - 1.
