Due to an all-day shower, 32156 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Fc ex-Breivelde Arena. De Decker almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert R. da Arnela blocked it to keep the score level. MicMac's counterattacks created a good chance for R. Vogel on the right after 9 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. The visiting R. Vogel was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 29 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to ex-Breivelde, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

R. Liégeois had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. 58 minutes into the game, S. Boada came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. After 59 minutes MicMac tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, R. Fierlings's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. Against a lesser team, MicMac could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 75 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. With 76 minutes having been played, ex-Breivelde scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but D. Hardy was marked down as the scorer. B. Dumitrescu gave ex-Breivelde the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 77 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Williams broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for ex-Breivelde. Content with how the game was proceeding, the ex-Breivelde coach let G. Geunis replace A. Williams after 88 minutes. B. Dumitrescu became the new ex-Breivelde captain. D. Hardy wanted to play on, but the ex-Breivelde coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 89 minutes into the game by S. van Burik. ex-Breivelde claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

ex-Breivelde's best player was B. Dumitrescu. Z. Jianyao on the other hand, had a terrible day. R. Vogel performed admirably for MicMac. R. Kreil was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
