Ben Hayoun made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. 40 minutes in, Sputters's G. Farre received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. M. Van Haelst of Iendracht received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit B. Delanghe just fine. Sputters's F. Tingleff got himself booked for a foul. M. Van Haelst of Iendracht had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. M. Hägerskär came in to finish the match. R. Goelen charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Iendracht, but the shot went well wide of the goal. D. Katechis could have put his team up another goal 44 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. After 44 minutes, following yet another great corner, G. Farre's flick on at the near post reached I. Lupu, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Iendracht equalised after 74 minutes after a brilliantly placed penalty by K. Johansen. Sputters enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Most important Iendracht player was B. Delanghe. M. Hägerskär was a disappointment, however. I. Lupu performed admirably for Sputters. On the other hand, M. Ben Hayoun's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
