Killer 0 - 5 Heist
(388619848)

22-07-2012 13.30
The crowd of 13894 turning up at
't Solveld today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Killian Plaar was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Romeo van Gisteren and
Ieremias Vassiliou.
Killer had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
They fielded: Bital - Ghilain, Beniest, Kejlstrup - Karáth, Pratarolo, Giurgescu, Baudet - Piciarelli, Kovács, Balasch.
Heist tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Odabaşı - Boeske, Pelgrims, Pernet - Dell'Asta, Nikoloudis, van Domburg, Colţan, Teixeira Abreu - Semler, Urrea Palafox.
Killer seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
M. Semler gave the visitors the lead 18 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area.
G. Pernet didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain.
Killer tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play.
A drive down the left side allowed
G. Dell'Asta to get in close and score another goal for Heist after 34 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2.
F. Pelgrims increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3.
The players of Heist now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
0 - 3 was the score after the first half.
Heist had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Heist goal after 60 minutes, making it 0 - 4.
G. Pernet was noted down as the scorer.
The head of
P. Nikoloudis connected with a corner kick after 66 minutes, and the ball ended up with
F. Pelgrims of Heist who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 0 - 5.
Killer had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
W. Beniest challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 80 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it.
G. Piciarelli was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
R. Urrea Palafox from Heist a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Heist claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
The most dominating Killer player was without a doubt
W. Beniest.
L. Pratarolo on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Heist's best player was
J. Boeske.
However,
R. Teixeira Abreu made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 5.
