Moulux had a chance to take the lead after T. De Zutter's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 7 minutes. Moulux had a good opportunity to take the lead as F. Le Page came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of S. Van Rooy. B. Poissonnier of Moulux seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by D. Pourtoix. After 18 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by D. Pourtoix might have resulted in another goal for Moulux. However, S. Van Rooy made a spectacular save. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Pourtoix got himself booked. The manager of Moulux was not happy. I. Bischof should probably have put his team up another goal after 31 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Van Rooy kept the visitors in the game. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Moulux, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

An equalising goal seemed certain after 49 minutes when K. Vancauwenberghe attacked down the left wing, but J. Dumonceau just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. Moulux's J. Dumonceau had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 69 minutes having been played. G. Defraeye was the replacement. Moulux put themselves up 2 - 0 when J. Van Aevermaet broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. bellamies's K. Vancauwenberghe was shown a yellow card after 72 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, J. Van Aevermaet of Moulux spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Cheers filled the stadium as J. Moerenhout broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Moulux. After 78 minutes, T. De Zutter put Moulux ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The players of Moulux now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. U. Van der Donckt had a fantastic opportunity to put Moulux up another goal 80 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Moulux claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

Moulux's top performer was clearly F. Le Page. J. Van Aevermaet was a disappointment, however. bellamies's best player was K. Vancauwenberghe. J. Notelaers turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
