Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 57414 at Kielen City Stadium today. Ephraim Knickl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tommi Mattila and Rüdiger Eltag. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for B-M. Kielen were awarded a penalty 6 minutes into the game but M. Fredbratt produced a poor shot, quite easily saved by P. Kritkaew. B-M's A. Hobscheid left the field after 29 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was B. Coisy. R. Tapia has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 34 minutes into the match. B-M almost scored after a swift counterattack 36 minutes into the game, but H. Abedi put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. Kielen created a good opportunity to score 37 minutes into the match when V. Wamba's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Good work by the B-M defensive line after 39 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found E. Couto alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. T. Sánchez Mejías acted with superior experience when, 41 minutes into the match, he predicted a pass, intercepted it and then finished off with a goal. 0 - 1 for B-M! Kielen were close to equalising with a spectacular free kick by M. Fredbratt after 42 minutes, but P. Kritkaew made a great save, tipping it to a corner. B-M's counterattacks created a good chance for B. Coisy on the right after 43 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. Kielen's V. Wamba was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Kielen had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

Kielen's J. Gerken got himself booked for a foul. The player down was B. Coisy. The B-M bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. The B-M players could smell victory in the air. T. Sánchez Mejías wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for W. Rubin after 60 minutes. The Kielen players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. As the game started to slip away for Kielen, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. The home crowd was pulling their hair out after M. Fredbratt missed a penalty shot by miles 68 minutes into the game. B-M mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 69 minutes, but L. Frideres was unable to convert from short range. Kielen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

The most dominating Kielen player was without a doubt R. Tapia. However, C. Abensperg made a disastrous appearance. Most important B-M player was W. Rubin. F. Delon on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
