Clear skies welcomed the 45469 spectators who had made their way to İnönü Stadı. Some mind-boggling play by R. Halava almost resulted in a goal for bjkm, but M. Santiago's shot rebounded off the post. After a scuffle in the guests' penalty area 34 minutes into the game, the home team was awarded a penalty. M. Monnier scored to make it 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Bjk enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

W. Grabias looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for bjkm, the ball went just barely wide. Bjk had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 59 minutes in when F. Loft came up alone against G. Pivetti who managed a block. bjkm's A. Balzamo was shown a yellow card after 63 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 66 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for bjkm was V. Zinant. Bjk tied it all up, 72 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by M. Cicvarić, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 2 - 2. After 74 minutes, Bjk's R. Halava made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 2 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Bjk, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

bjkm's top performer was clearly M. Monnier. K. Jarke turned in a dismal performance, however. Bjk's best player was M. Cicvarić. On the other hand, L. Kerényi's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 3.
