Gönül was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! A drive down the left side allowed J. Linders to get in close and score another goal for GALATASARAY after 27 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 3. After 32 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Menand to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4. GALATASARAY's A. Davoudi was shown a yellow card after 34 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With 36 minutes played, GALATASARAY put themselves up 1 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was K. Möller-Callsen. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 5. GALATASARAY enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 80 percent of possession.

The home crowd was not impressed when G. Naßl came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 50 minutes. GALATASARAY were now up 1 - 6. The players of GALATASARAY now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. J. Linders was, after 52 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper F. Kavak made the save. E. Hisar was called on to replace WANTEDFB's Y. Aktemür after 53 minutes following a nasty collision. After the ball was lifted in from the left, G. Naßl was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 60 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Some fine movement on the left led to a GALATASARAY goal after 68 minutes, making it 1 - 7. Ş. Rikkat was noted down as the scorer. There was concern in the stands when, at the 69 minute mark, WANTEDFB's S. Gönül hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by GALATASARAY, with 83 percent of the ball.

WANTEDFB's best player was S. Gönül. F. Kavak was a disappointment, however. The most dominating GALATASARAY player was without a doubt R. Menand. A. Davoudi on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 7.
