Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 20975 to Nou Camp Arena. Alberto Cendrer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Etienne Stultzfus and Finn Joshua Effner. Barça38 took the lead 7 minutes in, as R. Figarski broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. 8 minutes into the game, K. Nogal had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came V. Sardone. The referee showed Barça38's W. Brodziak the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The player down was M. Filip. The EJE bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. A cross coming in on the right hand side left B. Borowik alone in front of the goal after 23 minutes but his shot was woeful. After 24 minutes, EJE sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached B. Borowik, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Barça38 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

B. Gabel came close to putting the visiting team one up 53 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but D. von Wartburg managed to tip the ball to a corner. 55 minutes into the game, Barça38 wanted to bring some new energy to their game. K. Budzyński gave J. Rißler a quick hug as he left the field. 58 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Barça38 substitution. K. Sieburg came on for L. Tzankov. 70 minutes into the match, EJE nearly took the lead, as B. Gabel broke through on the right. D. von Wartburg made the save, however. As the 86 minute mark approached, the Barça38 coach decided it was time for a substitution. P. Santibañez reluctantly made way for E. Korman on the pitch. Barça38 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Most important Barça38 player was K. Sieburg. M. Copertino turned in a dismal performance, however. EJE's top performer was clearly J. Åhmar. On the other hand, C. Ertekin's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
