Ezgi's long shot really ought to have found the net 11 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. F. Bernholz was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for BARCAFUN with a strike from the left, but A. Topalov managed to ward the shot off for a corner. V. Kerpán spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. BARCAFUN's M. Angele made a successful breakthrough on the left after 23 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. --STORM--'s J. Puška startled P. Degardin with an unexpected pass. Unfortunately, the receiver was too stunned by the play to convert the perfect setup into a goal. G. Özer had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. No matter how hard he tried, T. Pannullo just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 37 minutes. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. BARCAFUN claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
