After 31 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and G. Beyhan gave the !81! supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of !81! lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Tuna from Belediye a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! It was obvious that team !81! had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. R. Recasens should probably have put his team up another goal after 39 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Peksu kept the visitors in the game. Belediye's B. Ayberk got himself booked for a foul. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for !81!, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. B. Žlindra squirmed through their central defence after 41 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. 5 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to !81!, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

Belediye players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in !81!'s A.
