Pollina after 57 minutes. 63 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as B. Salinas broke through, making the score 5 - 0 for United. After 67 minutes of play, United's C. Opiyo unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all and B. Salinas slotted it into the net for 6 - 0. Content with how the game was proceeding, the United coach let D. Lipič replace N. Révol after 70 minutes. C. Opiyo wanted to play on, but the United coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by U. Askenstedt. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, B. Salinas got himself booked. The manager of United was not happy. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in United's G. Holban increasing the lead to 7 - 0. Kampala's G. Ssejjemba had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 76 minutes having been played. S. Gakwandi was the replacement. With 78 minutes played, United put themselves up 8 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to D. Lipič, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. United managed to extend their lead to 9 - 0 when F. Pollina cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. United increased the lead as G. Rădescu struck to make the score 10 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. United had most of the ball, with 88 percent of possession.

United's best player was K. Serumaga. F. Ballegaard was a disappointment, however. Kampala's top performer was clearly J. Sserunkuuma. J. Lubega Mbidde turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 10 - 0.
