previous 4/10 next 6/10  SHAMMER 7 - 0 ATASHBAR (389289404)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 29427 had shown up at SHAMMER for the match. Fabio Tugnoli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tijmen Blokland and Victor Olaru. SHAMMER tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Alcedo - Canel, Gergov, Zsolt - Matte, Contador, Hürol, Lefebvre, Růžek - Schedlbauer, Caiçara.

A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for ATASHBAR. They fielded: Callewaert - Farmani, Mandiouban, Tocco, Bandirali - Honarmand, Santa Gadea, Nedelcu, Hulting, Lanuza Entenza - Barco.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of ATASHBAR. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to J. Lefebvre, but the SHAMMER player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! SHAMMER put themselves up 2 - 0 when P. Schedlbauer broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Cheers filled the stadium as S. Matte broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to SHAMMER. After a short break after 25 minutes, SHAMMER seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. SHAMMER increased the lead as M. Caiçara struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SHAMMER, with 69 percent of the ball.

SHAMMER were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 50 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by D. Hürol. 5 - 0 for the home side. By now, the players in SHAMMER felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. SHAMMER's D. Hürol had an excellent opportunity after 81 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 82 minutes, SHAMMER sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached S. Matte, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 6 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as SHAMMER scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Caiçara after 86 minutes. SHAMMER had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.

Most important SHAMMER player was P. Schedlbauer. On the other hand, G. Gergov's play was disheartening. ATASHBAR's best player was A. Barco. A. Tocco was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
