Garnaud gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 21 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Pas's J. Salmelin got himself booked for a foul. G. Tailier was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Bezaat's R. Velasco Mansilla had to come off the bench. It was obvious that Bezaat had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 27 minutes into the match, an alert C. Rabaça bagged the ball for Bezaat, levelling the score to 1 - 1. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 29 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from D. Sadeghi, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. After 33 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 2 - 2 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by L. Paleske. E. Menchetti didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. The terraces were silenced after 36 minutes when Pas's J. Salmelin put the guests ahead 2 - 3, following an attack on the right. Halftime score was 2 - 3. Pas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Attacking on the wings was the choice for Bezaat, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Pas players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 70 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for L. Paleske who increased Pas's lead to 2 - 4. G. Chehel Amiran of Bezaat received a yellow card after 72 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. C. Rabaça tried to get a goal back for Bezaat but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Pas coach let A. Jahani replace I. Bauls after 75 minutes. A. Jahani was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. Bezaat's R. Velasco Mansilla found himself alone on the left side 77 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! The Pas players could smell victory in the air. L. Paleske wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Tornices after 80 minutes. After 81 minutes Bezaat's O. Palermiti contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. After 82 minutes, Pas's A. Jahani burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 2 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Pas, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

Bezaat's top performer was clearly V. Fernandes. On the other hand, G. Chehel Amiran's play was disheartening. Pas's best player was J. Salmelin. However, F. Kjærulff made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 5.
