previous 4/4 next 2/4  Bagher 0 - 5 DFC (389295933)

29220 spectators arrived at Gharchak Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Cyril Humbert was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tadek Bòrzëszkòwsczi and Gejza Ušák. Bagher started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Starters: Korucu - Alexandru, Rande, Heeringa - Agramunt, Jacquet, Fryczkowski, Zotti - Lebduška, Bacchetti, Guben.

DFC tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players took the field: Karakaş - Sogdiana, Eftekhari, Najmi, Haghdoust - Ebert, Sainte-Luce, Pecyna, Macas, Kalaba - Helenen.

DFC seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 17 minutes into the match left DFC's W. Helenen completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 28 minutes, DFC's N. Kalaba burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. After 29 minutes G. Bacchetti could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to DFC, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

A drive down the left side allowed N. Kalaba to get in close and score another goal for DFC after 66 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, G. Bacchetti got himself booked. The manager of Bagher was not happy. With 68 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed T. Haghdoust of DFC to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of DFC were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The bench was restless, and with 70 minutes passed Bagher's coach gave A. Bialek the opportunity the player had been hoping for. M. Heeringa reluctantly left the field. 73 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as W. Helenen finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. With 79 minutes played, M. Eftekhari of DFC fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Bagher's J. Agramunt was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 85 minutes. T. Gordon was given a chance to change things around. DFC had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Bagher's top performer was clearly W. Fryczkowski. C. Korucu was a disappointment, however. Most important DFC player was W. Helenen. However, E. Ebert made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 5.
