Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Azadi sport complex saw a crowd turnout of 11051. Silva José almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. fc_pious's F. Pietrogrande was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 16 minutes. The guests took the lead 19 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in J. Bieniarz scoring to make it 0 - 1. 21 minutes in, fc_pious's E. Shevlin received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. It was 0 - 1 at the break. -Perspolis enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

M. Turetta fired a shot from distance after 47 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for -Perspolis. After 48 minutes, the defensive line of fc_pious created a counterattack through the middle that gave M. Arbab a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. M. Turetta's lack of experience almost gave fc_pious a goal after 54 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. -Perspolis players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visitors' J. Bieniarz took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 69 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for -Perspolis. After 70 minutes, -Perspolis were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. U. Guinot did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. With 71 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of fc_pious resulted in a counterattack that set J. Ahmad Beigi free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. With 72 minutes played, P. Calmar of -Perspolis fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 73 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed P. Calmar of -Perspolis to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as S. Perelman tried lifting the ball over keeper D. Ristić. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. The -Perspolis coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 80 minutes into the game. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by -Perspolis, with 67 percent of the ball.

The most dominating fc_pious player was without a doubt H. Asadzadeh. R. Krahn was a disappointment, however. -Perspolis's top performer was clearly U. Guinot. However, D. Ristić made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.
