(389308200)

24-06-2012 15.45
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Shkastani Club saw a crowd turnout of 12000.
Robert Bokgren was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ryan Torry and
Phil Futterknecht.
SHK started off with a 2-5-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Eslam - Ebrahimi, Cheshmeh Noushi - Nikbakht, Bannier, Brunialti, Möhlmann, Ganji - Moadi, Dadashzadeh, Salarvand.
araratkaraj decided to use a 4-5-1 set up.
They fielded: Koch - Manavi, Moores, Gralla, Şerban - Fouladvand, Shavit, Cattaneo, Reyes, Doychinov - Eslamian.
Down the middle came
M. Eslamian, making a fantastic play that nearly had araratkaraj take the lead after 4 minutes, but
B. Eslam preserved the tie.
araratkaraj's
R. Fouladvand was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
M. Eslamian managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 1 after 28 minutes.
SHK's
A. Möhlmann made an attempt at equalising 31 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound.
SHK tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play.
40 minutes in, araratkaraj appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
solid.
M. Eslamian received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 41 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The araratkaraj fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
0 - 2 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SHK, with 56 percent of the ball.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of araratkaraj was able to get his message across, and raised araratkaraj's organisation to
solid.
With things not going too well on the field, the SHK coach made the decision to swap the positions of
H. Bannier and
M. Moadi with 46 minutes played.
With 57 minutes played, araratkaraj put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
N. Cattaneo.
After this, you could see that the players of araratkaraj were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
72 minutes into the game SHK broke through on the left wing and
M. Moadi managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 3.
85 minutes into the game, araratkaraj seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
solid.
After 86 minutes,
Z. Shavit sent the corner kick right to
A. Doychinov who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 4!
E. Moores came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
B. Eslam but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
Possession was split evenly between the teams.
The most dominating SHK player was without a doubt
B. Brunialti.
H. Cheshmeh Noushi was a disappointment, however.
araratkaraj's top performer was clearly
M. Eslamian.
S. Koch turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 4.
