previous 6/10 next 8/10  REAKTOR 3 - 1 BBK (389413109)

The 62601 spectators at REAKTOR ARENA were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Ludwig Licari was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Franz Öllinger and Patrick Journet. REAKTOR tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Zarbo - Kamperis, Hernández, Chiodini - Castaldo, Bendt, Møller Nielsen, Meisner, Ospina - Kaasinen, Cometa.

BBK started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Nørlund - Mathis, Saks, Guldager - Ðorđević, Ulbæk, Pind Nielsen, Kristensen, Bundgaard - Padkjær, Helbo.

BBK mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. 13 minutes into the game, L. Padkjær had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. N. Møller Nielsen enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Some great play up the middle by REAKTOR led to a chance for N. Møller Nielsen to score after 19 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when T. Helbo was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 20 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! P. Ðorđević always provides an aerial threat at corners, and with 24 minutes gone, he demonstrated this, outjumping his marker, then letting out an anguished howl as his powerful header went narrowly wide. REAKTOR took the lead after 28 minutes as a result of C. Ospina's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. REAKTOR's T. Meisner was shown a yellow card after 29 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as BBK's T. Helbo put the ball in the onion bag after 35 minutes to make it 1 - 1. With the clock showing 37 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of BBK resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by T. Helbo in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Halftime score was 1 - 1. REAKTOR enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

47 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but L. Padkjær, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. 59 minutes into the game, T. Helbo was a hair's breadth away from giving BBK the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by S. Zarbo saved the home team that time. At 64 minutes played, L. Kaasinen came in from the right with the intention of giving REAKTOR the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. As the 75 minute mark approached, the REAKTOR coach decided it was time for a substitution. F. Chiodini reluctantly made way for M. Casoni on the pitch. With the match clock at 75 minutes, REAKTOR modified their style of play a little bit. The coach of REAKTOR wanted to try to change things around after 75 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. Priding himself in being an active coach, the REAKTOR manager gave new instructions to his players after 75 minutes. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to M. Casoni, but the REAKTOR player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! With 82 minutes played, REAKTOR put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to R. Cometa, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. By now, the players in REAKTOR felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for BBK, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Possession in this half belonged to REAKTOR, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

The most dominating REAKTOR player was without a doubt L. Kaasinen. C. Ospina was a disappointment, however. BBK's best player was T. Helbo. R. Bundgaard on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
