previous 5/10 next 7/10  Weber 2 - 2 Kyllings (389413382)

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 72841 to Webergrillen. Gene Crockett was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Konrád Gazsó and Arnaud Ferrand. Weber started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Ringsborg - Le Floch, Pastoriza, Mann - Rupiński, Bentili, Rüf, Chastain, Bruheim - Markov, Inurrieta.

Kyllings tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Curado - Orvalho, Darmanović, Kulvicas - Bremermann, Kostikos, Reihl, Rømer, Vad - Haro, Morer.

The visiting T. Bremermann was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 24 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. L. Klærke was called on to replace Weber's B. Pastoriza after 36 minutes following a nasty collision. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Weber enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

J. Morer received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 48 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Kyllings fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Q. Haro found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. With 72 minutes played, S. Inurrieta was very close to reducing the score for Weber with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. L. Klærke of Weber was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. K. Rupiński tried to get a goal back for Weber but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. With a penalty awarded after 81 minutes, Weber's S. Inurrieta placed the ball low and to the keeper's right, impossible to block. 1 - 2. The sun seemed to put K. Rupiński in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. The Weber free kick 84 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of B. Markov, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 2! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Weber, with 56 percent of the ball.

Weber's best player was B. Rüf. A. Ringsborg on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Kyllings player was J. Morer. S. Orvalho was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
