Kanstrup dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Toxteth claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Toxteth scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for K. Tornøe after 64 minutes. Confident in their lead, Toxteth's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. At this time in the match, FBU were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. Toxteth's K.
