29477 punters turned up at
Hullet, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Sean Gilbride was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alexandru Mihai and
Allan Vaht.
Schnors had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Massari - Payten, Radenacker, Jensen - Gotfredsen, Prammer, Skovgaard, Mondie, Koç - Schaefer, Dossobuono.
2U2 tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
Lineup: Rósa - Abild, Rosentreter, Dyrberg, Bleys - Jonasson, Blanvillain, Nikuradze, Dalsgaard, Holmlund - Bosque.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of 2U2's
C. Dyrberg after 5 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
16 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as
B. Bleys finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
2U2's
W. Rosentreter was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 17 minutes.
With 18 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
W. Rosentreter of 2U2 to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3.
At 22 minutes into the game, Schnors's
C. Payten deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 3.
It was 1 - 3 at the break.
2U2 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
The corner kick from
M. Dossobuono was powerfully met by the head of
K. Koç to make the score 2 - 3.
After 84 minutes, 2U2's
J. Holmlund burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 2 - 4.
In a rapid move 85 minutes into the match,
T. Gotfredsen of Schnors lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked
M. Dossobuono who easily hit it home to make it 3 - 4. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy!
After 86 minutes,
A. Schaefer got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away.
88 minutes in, 2U2's
Å. Dalsgaard received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Possession in this half belonged to 2U2, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
A. Schaefer performed admirably for Schnors.
However,
S. Radenacker made a disastrous appearance.
2U2's top performer was clearly
B. Bleys.
W. Rosentreter turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 4.
