previous 10/10 next 2/10  Egebjerg 2 - 2 Stoke (389417467)

31071 spectators arrived at Troldeskoven, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Martin Martin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Iago Adrián Botarell and Andy Allemann. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Egebjerg. Lineup: Berktan - Ledó, Frisgaard, Cohen - Magnus, Sacken, Larsson, Elverum, Egartner - Oonk, Reginald.

Stoke decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: da Luz - Schregg, Paganoni, Szerszenowicz, Constantin - Sevdil, Mouche, Bøge, Veth - Grobov, Orbe.

It was an obvious ambition of Egebjerg to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. With 7 minutes played, Egebjerg's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to O. Ledó he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 0. The referee showed Stoke's C. Veth the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Stoke levelled the score after 34 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as A. Orbe struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. 35 minutes in, Stoke's H. Schregg received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 38 minutes into the game, P. Reginald had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came J. Helveg. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Stoke's V. Grobov after 40 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Egebjerg had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Egebjerg put pressure on the visitors' central defence 50 minutes into the game, but J. Helveg couldn't find an opening. The Egebjerg players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Egebjerg manager used a brief break in play after 60 minutes to give the players new directives. After 60 minutes, Egebjerg switched H. Larsson with B. Helgesen, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. T. Berktan got a fingertip on G. Constantin's shot from the left 84 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. After 87 minutes, W. Oonk made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Egebjerg, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

Egebjerg's top performer was clearly O. Frisgaard. However, W. Oonk made a disastrous appearance. Stoke's best player was V. Grobov. J. Szerszenowicz was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
