Dark skies made the crowd of 30112 at Breadwood Bowl a little nervous, but the rain held off. Mathias Nordgård was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lars Johansson and László Mezibroczky. Breadwood decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Honore - Tapia Mateo, Willmes, Weber - Cojocaru, Vered, Nørrevang, Ulfsson, Kraan - Forestier, Almstrand.

FC started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. They fielded: Heinzinger - Heleijn, Simoni, de Valk, Bouwkamp - Chirculescu, Kesterman, Maltesen, Vidriksen, Reimer - Voňák.

For their match strategy, FC had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to N. Kraan, but the Breadwood player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! The counterattacks of FC were deadly and 19 minutes into the game, R. Bouwkamp received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 1 - 1. They were singing the praises of T. Almstrand 22 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Breadwood. FC almost scored after a swift counterattack 24 minutes into the game, but M. Simoni put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Breadwood enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

After 52 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by FC on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by M. Simoni to make it 2 - 2. T. Almstrand of Breadwood was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Breadwood fans held their breath as N. Kraan scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 3 - 2! With 74 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of FC resulted in a counterattack that set A. Reimer free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Breadwood, with 67 percent of the ball.

L. Nørrevang performed admirably for Breadwood. On the other hand, N. Kraan's play was disheartening. FC's best player was V. Voňák. A. Reimer was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
