(389418060)

01-07-2012 16.00
A scorching day at
FC Wolvers Gigantium, where 53660 spectators were in place for today's match.
Alain Follin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bob Keehner and
Fernando Lanz.
People from all over
København had joined up for the derby.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FCWWFY.
The following players had been chosen: Garrote - Elsner, Armada, Roturier - Thorhauge, Maher, Vilpanen, Hamburger, Karan - Weurink, Kister.
Teisen started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Treccani - Bigioni, Petersen, Bentsen - Strand, Bjertrup, Strube, Kamp, Luso - Knudsen, Raynor.
With 4 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
C. Weurink flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
Always quick and a menace to his opponents,
B. Karan was very close to getting through after 5 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms.
C. Weurink increased the lead for FCWWFY to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
B. Karan's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 26 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
R. Kister who knocked it in for FCWWFY. 3 - 0!
E. Maher wanted to play on, but the FCWWFY coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 27 minutes into the game by
T. Engelund.
After this, you could see that the players of FCWWFY were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
3 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Teisen, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.
With 58 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Teisen resulted in a counterattack that set
O. Knudsen free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
T. Kamp had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
V. Garrote was simply unbeatable.
The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs
B. Karan found it hard to get back into position.
With 66 minutes played,
T. Strube had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
R. Kister left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
P. Cánovas was the replacement.
A well-executed free kick by
E. Vilpanen after 76 minutes made it 4 - 0 for FCWWFY.
Teisen claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
The most dominating FCWWFY player was without a doubt
S. Roturier.
V. Garrote turned in a dismal performance, however.
Teisen's best player was
T. Strube.
On the other hand,
T. Bentsen's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 0.
