Gaarde the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Many thought A. Ngugi ought to have been awarded a penalty 35 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around M. Treccani after a determined run through the middle. 39 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Beerhunters to take the lead after a good cross from the right found A. Ngugi alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Beerhunters claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Teisen's L. Raynor was shown a yellow card after 48 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Bjertrup from Teisen a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 60 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Beerhunters were forced into a substitution as R. Skoglund couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing A. Mikkelsen to come in off the bench. We may never know what M. Bizzarri was thinking when he tried to pass the ball through a crowd of opponents. Luckily for him, Teisen's N. Luso somehow missed the wide open net. At this time in the match, Teisen were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. Teisen pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Beerhunters took the lead 76 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as V. Bager elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Beerhunters had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.
