The crowd of 41872 turning up at Suldan Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Fritz Stoißer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by David Alexandersson and Norbert Reußler. Suldan started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Zieliński - Ulmi, Thulesen, Stengaard, Coldea - Balseiros, Erlandsen, Habrus’, Dalum - Knäppchen, Odér.

Abrazos tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Aarseth - Kodrup, van Veenendaal - Berntzen, Ferrer, Brøndum, Torreblanca, Ilsø - Gamboa, Klein, Munck Mikkelsen.

Abrazos used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Abrazos's B. Klein got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Suldan, as Y. Ulmi left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. K. Kusk took his place on the field. Suldan took the lead after 19 minutes as a result of T. Odér's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. A. Gamboa did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. After 34 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by B. Habrus’ might have resulted in another goal for Suldan. However, R. Aarseth made a spectacular save. 35 minutes in, Abrazos's D. Ilsø received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visiting team's M. Munck Mikkelsen was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 36 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. T. Odér gave Suldan the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Munck Mikkelsen from Abrazos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The crowd was silenced 42 minutes into the match as the visiting team's A. Gamboa came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Abrazos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 54 minutes allowed M. Kodrup to score for Abrazos. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. The referee showed Suldan's M. Erlandsen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. M. Torreblanca was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Abrazos's A. Ohlner had to come off the bench. The Abrazos captaincy was handed to M. Kodrup. Some mind-boggling play by G. Brøndum almost resulted in a goal for Suldan, but S. Dalum's shot rebounded off the post. The coach of Abrazos was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, T. Hasselmann came on for L. van Veenendaal. After 72 minutes of play, S. Dalum evened things up for Suldan with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 3 - 3. Suldan took the lead 77 minutes in, as T. Odér broke through on the left and put the 4 - 3 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for T. Odér. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Abrazos's D. Ilsø was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 80 minutes. J. Burgold was given a chance to change things around. The Suldan players could smell victory in the air. S. Dalum wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for V. Flindt Bjerg after 80 minutes. Suldan's G. Thulesen had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 80 minutes having been played. P. Eilersen was the replacement. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Abrazos, with 54 percent of the ball.

Suldan's top performer was clearly F. Knäppchen. K. Kusk on the other hand, had a terrible day. M. Munck Mikkelsen performed admirably for Abrazos. However, T. Hasselmann made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 3.
