Dark skies made the crowd of 26755 at Harmony Park Theatre a little nervous, but the rain held off. Janis Zemlinskis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Joost de Graaf and Eugenio Pichon. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Harmonien. Lippert of BlomsterBørn fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. BlomsterBørn's M. Kirimov could have put the guests one up after 28 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but V. Aquilonia was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Harmonien's J. Thybo was shown a yellow card after 32 minutes for slicing down an opponent. BlomsterBørn's goal to make the score 0 - 1 came via a questionable penalty, but M. Kirimov struck it home without a second thought. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BlomsterBørn, with 64 percent of the ball.

After 50 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed M. Kirimov to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Confident in their lead, BlomsterBørn's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. BlomsterBørn's Z. César made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 52 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After 57 minutes, Harmonien switched O. Zhou with A. Nørreskov, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Harmonien's L. Silberbauer was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 57 minutes. G. Vadstrup was given a chance to change things around. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 59 minutes into the match. M. Kirimov surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. When J. Thybo made yet another studs-first tackle after 69 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Harmonien player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. The bench was restless, and with 74 minutes passed Harmonien's coach gave J. Karhusaari the opportunity the player had been hoping for. D. Pires reluctantly left the field. BlomsterBørn claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Harmonien's top performer was clearly F. Zacher. On the other hand, P. Kopa's play was disheartening. J. Nanninga performed admirably for BlomsterBørn. M. Kirimov on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
