Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 40729 at
Tumpernes Park today.
Geppino Antolli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
João Brito and
Alonso Cervi.
SU had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation.
They fielded: Pohla - Kopczyński, Buchinger, Elgaard, Rodrigues, Bysiak - Cavani, Stojmenovski, Cisco - Leeuw, Thongdang.
Vestjyder started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.

It seemed as though SU considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game.
SU had a chance to take the lead after
S. Thongdang's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 3 minutes.
SU created a good opportunity to score 5 minutes into the match when
I. Leeuw's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
The referee showed Vestjyder's
D. Rychlak the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.

I. Leeuw. The SU bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up.

O. Pesti received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
S. Thongdang of SU had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.

SU fans held their breath as
I. Leeuw scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1!

G. Martensen came through the middle, but his kick went wide.
After 76 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by SU on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by
I. Leeuw to make it 3 - 1.
SU claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

M. Buchinger on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Vestjyder's top performer was clearly
E. Härmä.
However,
J. Bogola made a disastrous appearance.
