previous 4/10 next 6/10  Hou 0 - 2 LHA (389478229)

The 27901 fans in attendance at Hou Park were roasting in the hot sun. José Castaño was the appointed referee with assistance provided by José Martín and Luc Vital. Hou had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Linezky - Melvang, Kamionowski, Florentsen, Fekete-Kettner - Christensen, Hoydonkx, Amdisen, Almendros, Østvik - Witteveen.

LHA tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Ervin - Hedeland, Ortiz, Mikkelberg - Iaşcenco, Ketomäki, Csapos, Blaziano, Maimó - Haudenschild, Müller.

After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 26 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy, T. Ketomäki struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Hou, with 60 percent of the ball.

Hou's D. Witteveen put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 47 minutes, but the ball went wide. Hou's P. Florentsen got himself booked for a foul. Given a free kick close to the byline, LHA tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let V. Maimó slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 2, 52 minutes into the game. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Hou's S. Fekete-Kettner was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 63 minutes. H. Appel Andersen was given a chance to change things around. The sunny day didn't make things easy for D. Witteveen who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. After 77 minutes, Hou switched R. Almendros with A. Ougaard, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. D. Witteveen was the new captain of Hou - handed the armband by the departing player. Possession in this half belonged to Hou, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

The most dominating Hou player was without a doubt P. Kamionowski. N. Linezky turned in a dismal performance, however. LHA's top performer was clearly E. Müller. On the other hand, V. Iaşcenco's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 2.
