previous 9/10 next 1/10  TUTD 7 - 2 Juve (389481912)

The crowd of 23980 turning up at LeChuck's Nightmare today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Tore From Nielsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ákos Lattmann and Priido Priks. TUTD started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Starters: Nielsen - Brodersen, Villumsen, Halse - Kirk, Extercatte, McGuigan, Bošić - Kramer, Friis, Faarkrog.

Juve tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Nyholm - Stjernholm, Elkjær, Tøgersen - Asbjørn, Kofoed, Nissen, Tang, Danielsen - Haaning, Elkjær.

TUTD tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, TUTD's J. Bošić somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for V. Faarkrog, who struck for 1 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as TUTD scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for T. Brodersen after 20 minutes. 24 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as J. Kramer broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for TUTD. Juve reduced the lead after 30 minutes to 3 - 1 as M. Elkjær easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of TUTD to 4 - 1 as T. Halse finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Cheers filled the stadium as V. Friis broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to TUTD. By now, the players in TUTD felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 5 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to TUTD, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

47 minutes into the game, TUTD's V. Friis surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to J. Kramer who easily found the back of the net, making the score 6 - 1. 49 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as M. Kofoed anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 6 - 2. TUTD solidified their lead at the 53 minute mark, as J. Kramer dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 2. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for J. Kramer. TUTD claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

J. Kramer performed admirably for TUTD. S. Nielsen was a disappointment, however. Juve's best player was M. Tang. J. Asbjørn on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 2.
